Room Décor
Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I was feeling creative. Room décor is one of my favorite things to not only look at, but take part in. I am going to share with you my room and just how I decorate it. My room is full of color, lights, and pictures. We all need a little light and color in our lives so adding it to our rooms just makes sense!
Now, my walls are clearly sea green. Such a fun color that really lightens up the room. I painted my desk lavender purple because it is my absolute FAVORITE color, so I simply had to incorporate it somehow. I quite fancy the idea of adding a globe to my desk, because it reminds me every time I sit there how I plan to travel the world. The big white shudders in the background are perfect to add Christmas lights to. Also keeps the sun out in the mornings so I am not blinded ;)
This little collage of magazines is a very unique and creative way to not only add color to your dresser, but flaunt all those lovely magazines we are obsessed with reading. Mine is full of: Anthropology, Glamour, In Style, Seventeen, and COSMO Politian some of my favs!
This is my multilayer bookshelf where I watch TV! Always fun to incorporate bright vibrant colors and random things we love into our Shelves.
Now, my mirror used to be brown. That just didn't match my room, so I got my friend Brook Wooten to repaint it white with a metallic paint crackle. It looks amazing! I also like to write inspirational thoughts on my mirror to remind myself each day that God has a beautiful plan for my life, just like He does for us all :)
Got to love the hot pink butterflies. Just makes a bold beautiful statement of color! All you have to do is use a Cricut machine, or if your pretty crafty yourself, cut out shapes or objects. You can do this from construction paper or from old book pages for a more vintage look.
Here, is my night stand where I took my lamp and added pictures to it. I wanted to make it more personal and bright of course.
This is a full shot {in a collage} of most of my room. I got my bed spread from Anthropology, they have by far the softest and cutest comforters I have ever seen. Some may think having a wall of pictures is a little strange, maybe they are right. But, to me memories are a huge part of our life. It's important to capture all of life's incredible moments. What better way to remember them than by letting them fill up our rooms with color, laughter, and happiness.
Well, everyone that's it for today! Hope you enjoyed the Room Décor post, don't forget to have a happy Tuesday! May your day be filled with smiles and laughter. xoxo
